Located on the water side of the World Showcase promenade of Epcot’s Mexico pavilion, La Hacienda de San Angel is a great dining location for those who crave authentic Mexican cuisine with an emphasis on Old World hospitality.
The restaurant is made up of floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking World Showcase Lagoon. The decor of the restaurant is designed to allow guests to focus on the view outside instead of on the restaurant’s interior. The restaurant is decorated with neutral walls, rich colored fabrics in modern stripes, dark wood throughout, and beautiful 3D star light fixtures. The restaurant is sophisticated and has a modern take on the Mexican decor.
La Hacienda de San Angel is open daily for dinner from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. You will need a valid theme park admission to dine and reservations are highly recommended. It is family-friendly and theme park attire is welcomed. La Hacienda de San Angel participates in the Disney Dining Plan and requires 1 table-service credit (As a reminder, Disney currently is not offering Dining Plan). If you are paying out of pocket, you can expect to spend $25-$45 per person on entrees.
The menu at La Hacienda de San Angel offers plenty of authentic Mexican dishes like Carne Asada, Pollo Poblano, Chile Relleno, and Farrillada del Mar (serves two adults). There are handcrafted margaritas, Mexican beer, South American wines, premium tequilas, and more to go along with your meal. Be sure to save room for dessert with delicious options like the Chocolate “Fiesta” Pyramid, Tres Leches, or Pastel de Chocolate. The restaurant also offers a children’s menu with plenty of offerings.
My family has dined at La Hacienda de San Angel many times over the years. It is a delightful dining experience when visiting Epcot. For an appetizer, I recommend Queso Fundido or the house-made guacamole. When it comes to entrées, the Alambre de Res and Carne Asada have been delicious options. We enjoy the opportunity to dine inside the theme park at a restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere, delicious food, and a friendly waitstaff. We also treasure the opportunity to step away from the theme park crowds, rest for a bit, and prepare to conquer the remainder of the day!
If you are looking to discover vibrant flavors from regions around Mexico as you dine under colorful globe lamps and star lanterns, head off to La Hacienda de San Angel!
